New Moon ...(old sun)
I finally finally caught New Moon on Wed yay(: haha i know it opened like practically a week before and then sneaks were already showing a wk before that, but i didn't wanna watch with a crowd of twi-hard fans shrieking anyway. so the patient me waited till wed to watch(:
caught it with mel who is a serious anti-twilight kid. acc. to her, she choked her way thru twilight and couldn't stand to read the rest. so even though leeyin claimed that you can't understand if you don't read the book, she somehow (maybe she was lying haha) got the show! anyway it wasn't v. great, it was just average. like they still have that whole scene ends. scene starts. kind of abruptness. and mel and i agree that the actors don't put enough makeup cause they all have eyebags and look sooo tired. and dakota fanning is so old now! no longer the small kid in 'hide and seek' heh(:
anyway lots has happened since 2012...i went to the waterpark with Wimpy, Lausy and Jeanette. was rly rly fun cause we kept kicking Wimpy out of her float and she truly lived up to her name cause 1. she wouldnt sit the slides until Lausy and I went on it first, 2.she was too scared to sit the yellow slide cause it was too fast for her and 3. she nearly cried. haha! it was so lame. Lausy lost her specs in the lazy river and i was swimmin round it 3 times to look for it with Wimpy trailing along behind me cause she thinks she's like phelps or something. when we got to the pool she was like, "I wanna challenge you!! i bet i'm gonna win cause you're so slow" like...?!?!?!?! haha when we rly DID challenge and she started "swimming", all of us nearly collapsed cause her swimming=flapping and panting in the pool. and calling herself a swimmer, she can't even somersault. even Lausy can!! and we tried to teach her but like you knw what they say - 'you can't teach and old dog new tricks'. and she sure is old>:)
haha anyway took a cab to marina square and paid a whopping bill of $20, which means we probably got cheated. and it was all Wimpy's fault (again) cause she doesn't knw how to take any sort of public transport and so we couldn't go anywhere that couldn't connect straight to the EW-line. (omg geddit EWWWW line, like Wimpy herself) in the end, got sunburnt to a crisp and spent the weeks after that having lousy skin. i even had to train with the burn! so annoying):
can't think of anything else except i've been trying to force myself to do hw...not rly working but at least i've done my chem mcq, bio wkshts, math wksht and i FINISHED TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD YTD. felt super happy cause i expected i'd take damn long with it cause when i read it in p5 it was so complex but now it's quite a good book(: staring at cheng yu now is giving me a headache haha.

btw i just wanna thank all the little people who've made me happy. haha sorry just felt like giving a emmy award speech>:D oh one more thing before i go: during the leadership workshop sometime last week, we did Aspiration Flowers and pasted them up on the wall next to the canteen and i just wanna say that mine is so cute and cartoony despite my being all "heck! just anyhow" (: i guess i just have it in me. haha anyway look out for the RED FLOWER! the rly cool one in the center haha.

2012 : We Were Warned
OMG this show is like unbelievably amazing. went to catch it after oral on dk what day (can't rmb). anyway oral was rly funny haha. we were all in class at 8.30am and at 9am, lynette and rachel wrote this retard note about being "unable to wait after 9am"..?!?! so just when they were thanking their lucky stars that ms nair was late so we prolly wouldn't have to take our oral..ms nair came! haha omg they obviously had to get rid of the note. and after all their meaness, ms nair bought us iced milos! omg haha bet they felt damn bad. ..or maybe just lynette, since rachel hardly ever feels anything besides boredom.
so anyway oral was quite OK. rachel went after me and get this. the conversation qn was "describe a childhood memory“and naturally you have to think of a memory and use all your vocab prowess to describe it or sth right?? not for phua. here's how it went (roughly):
ms nair: okay rachel, moving on to conversation. describe a childhood memory.
phua: er don't rly have cause quite normal.
?!??!!!!!?? omg haha when she told us that was her answer, we all nearly fainted. like who would even say that right??! you'll just like make one up or sth. omggg and in case you dont get her 'cause quite normal' thing, it means that she has no memories cause her family is quite normal. she couldn't be bothered to form a complete sentence haha. anw after all that, we rushed down to lido and reached at 10.40am. here's the thing: stupid leeyin was there since like 9am and we called her to tell her to buy the tix first (we were catching the 11am showing). guess what? at 10.50am when she saw us, we were like, "have you bought the tickets?" thinking we just needed to get the popcorn when she goes all "no?!" OMG. complete chaos. and if you read her blog, she'll tell you sth along the lines of how she shd be the one shouting. as if! she has no right! omg even phua was speechless at her stupidity. ha!
okay so when we finallyyy got into the theater, phua starts her coughing fits! like omg she kept hacking throughout the show and then she'd hover arnd the popcorn bucket leeyin and i were sharing. way to ruin the mood eh? but wtv, the show was still damn good. (: it's so good that even the chinawoman nxt to me could understand! haha seeee so it must be rly something man>:D
OK so that was then and since then life's been rather boring. haha but at least i've done like 3/4 of my maths wksht! shouldn't that count for something?(: besides slogging work, it's been rly cold so trg's been just sooo numb/pain everything disgusting. haha so i gave myself a break this wkend to watch World Cup. didn't go to ssp tho, just watched it on tv. and guess what?? 2007's world cup was waaay better. and it was held at night, so the atmosphere was cooler too. and i was there! on tv! so sucks to leeyin whose greatest glory is holding some guy's hand who made her fall down (cause she too nervous aww)!
oh and sports day's on wed! which also means that my nov is coming to an end. and we just ended school! ): oh and i missed obs too): only thing to perk me up now is the waterpark outing on thurs where i can watch as Da Wimp drowns in the baby pool! but that's if she can go. cause her mommy won't let her haha. wtv the case, leeyin the dustbin had betta go! no saying "i fell down s cannot go waterpark". that excuse has no weight cause otherwise how you bathe? huhhh??>:) so you gotta go kid.
psst i woke up at noon today! cause it's so cold, it feels like it's just 9am. ): haha oops now i gotta go! but before i do, i just wanna say that
ALYSSA LIN IS DA WIMPIEST KID THAT EVER WALKED THE EARTH.

skool's out
I cannot believe my sec 3 year is officially over. after all the nagging, stress and annoying things, it was a good year. sigh. last day of school was fun! we took pictures(: and guess what? despite my ultra-slow reflexes, i can do jump-shots yay!! haha can't believe i'm actually the highest in the air cool eh?:D anywayz we went around the school snapping and suddenly it just felt so nostalgic and like omg this place has been my home for 9 years!!!!! ): yknw in p1 when they told me "st nicks is your second home", i didn't believe them but now it's so true it hurts. ): seeing the movers tke away all our stuff is soo depressing! it's just trucks everywhere and then next yr etc if we happen to drive past the school i bet we'd see huge chunks out of the building and like scaffolding everywhere etc. ): siggghh.
on the bright side, i ate my apple pie! heehee! went with Lausy after school and she's sooo protective over her food! like she bought a meal and upsized her fry and wouldn't even let me have one! (until i used my edward-cullen-charm on her ha!) got home at 4pm, so ate my lunch at 4pm then dinner at 6pm(: i don't even know where i put it all. OHOH and my confirmation's this sunday!!:D and then mon-thurs is LLS/OBS which i am not going for): ): oh well at least wtv i miss out there, i can 'learn' in the 1st dec workshop thing.
on the brighter side, i finally got my stamps/chops from leeyin!!! yay!!!! they are so awesome and fantastic and amazing cause i chose them!!!! :D :D no thanks to the loser cause all she did was buy them haha. yaaaay i love them wheee! although the letter that came with it is horrible ttm. that one is all thanks to leeyin. nth good comes outta her eh>:)
now that school's out, i can sleep in!!! and go out!!! and watch 2012!!! :D happy days. though o lvls are over so i bet everywhere will be filled with sec4s running around mad after being trapped for months. oh well. i'm a good barger heehee>:D watch out for me!
OK gotta go read my book, listen to my music and chill out now. because i feel quite wasted that i didn't realise ytd was friday the 13th until at night. otherwise i could've said a LOT of things to alyssa da wimp that would've made my day>:D too bad i can't now. (but i'll think of more bad things for when we go to the water park!!:D)

Come feel this magic
My computer is srsly against me. Just now, my brother was using it and he said that it works fine. then when i use it now, the msn can't work, the internet keeps going on and off...D:< style="font-style: italic;">all here) hmm so after games carn we had tea, tiffin and poetry the following week...
which was rly fun!
haha so it was 5-7pm so stayed back in school till then. watched my class rehearse for their poems and did a card for carolyn = I FOLDED MY FIRST EVER CRANE!!!!!!! :D my class is rly damn nice, they're aiming to fold 1000 cranes for carolyn!! so everyone's bz folding cranes during lessons (not like they need to pay attn since they're all born with big brains [dammit] ) and it feels like we're all doing some community centre activity heh. so anw TTP was help at MPR1 and we had some visitors from deyi and anderson and guess what?!?! leeyin found her soulmate there!!! omg you should've seen her salivating over her ahmad. it was rly sickening, but we had to choke it down. i mean c'mon he had elvis presly sideburns!!! (psst and he was also cheating on her with another girl) i knw leeyin has bad taste but i nvr knew it was this bad. haha anw the poems recited were rly good and my class' performance was so kiddy in comparison but so what we still rock cause it was a poem I chose!!!!! The Lion by Roald Dahl(: we had some snacks in btwn whereby Lausy and I were trying to snatch some extra food haha. when the whole thing ended, the school compounds were barely visible cause it was sooo dark! which made it so cool. :D
...more stuff happens in btwn...i go out, i see people etc. ohoh i bought my confirmation dress!! it's sooo good-girlish and pretty and pure and everything that describes me>:) +it costs a bomb. but my momma said i should wear nicely for God so i don't feel so guilty heh. hmm then what?? OHH then ytd we celebrated marky's birthday and he bought his prez (which is too retarded to even mention) and i bought sth too and then we all watched tv and a movie at night(: day well spent!
oh wait. i rmb why i even posted now. i'm supposed to criticize leeyin! cause she's rly omg unbelievable. was just reading her china blog not long ago and here're some of the stupid things she says:
1. she has hope that she'll win a $1 million lottery
2. she doesn't even knw how to rollerblade (loser)
3. she has the impression that ppl will miss her if she flies home to china (pleaze)
4. she didn't knw the Great Wall of China is in China
5. she thinks that studying in e holding site with the crap schedule will be "fun"
6. she's sucha loser, no one wants to go out with her. so she's stuck alone at home, and she calls this "Time Alone with Myself", where she plans to "get in touch" with herself. (hope she doesn't faint from disgust)
7. she likes the guy who recited his poems at TTP
8. when she sees herself with pinned-up fringe and hair tucked behind her ears (in prep. for passport photo), she almost chokes in horror at her ugliness. she calls it "hideousness". i agree. this shows w/o her hair, she's damn ugly. yet, in the next para, she claims that bangs are horrid cause "despite the fact that to look good, you have to cover 1/3 of your face". well. not like she v. pretty w/o hair>:)

10. when she was a kid, she used to scoop her cookies out of her milk with her HANDS.

am gonna rewatch the devil wears prada tonight since it's showing on tv(: OHOH!!!! btw i forgot to say that fri was spent taking pictures round my beloved st nicks with jeanette, Lausy, vanessa and The Wimp. thanks sharry barry for helping us take the pictures! i'll rmb to leave you in peace for 1 day haha. sigh i love my school! cannot bear to shift next yr. now everyday we see the movers carrying away our things and the labs are all empty and we even saw them sliding our stuff down the railings!! i feel so sad now):

GAMES CARN 2009
OMG I TOTALLY RUINED THIS YEAR'S CARNIVAL!!!! ): ): ):
well, not me. but still.
it started out well though! frisbee was fun, despite feeling so weird to be playing against my pals from charity. and omg it sucks to be on their opposing side! makes you feel demoralised like ttm. still remember last yr was so amazing to be winning every game...(: well now it's kinda like...losing most games haha but who caresss?! i think my team played awesomely. of course comparing we're like peanuts but i bet we'll beat everyone in proness anyday. because i'm there. duh.
OK anyway. so our first game was with 3C...didn't even bother to keep score haha it was probably like 100 to 0. >:) but still had fun. played 3 games of frisbee and 1 game of floorball against 3C too which was super fun haha. their team was mainly the trackers and elaine was just lousy (what's new??) and ruth was hopeless >:D anyway with Marie the Great around, they weren't able to score a nut, so we tied at 0. oh but the floorball team is really good! the team i played with la i mean (though i'm sure the rest are great too, except for the china). megan totally got all aggressive!!:D haha and yuenping is like the best goalie!!! can totally beat lionel lewis or whoever haha.
frisbee was fun except for my last game against this team which was like ... OMG irritating. totally felt like rapping the frisbee on their heads): luckily we tied them so i don't have to feel even more annoyed. sigh. i'd take "competitive" sports girls ANYDAY. compared to "uncompetitive" losers like them. really sorry i have to say all this but i've kind of had it with people always saying "why are sports girls sooo competitive huhhh" like hello because we've been competing all our lives duhhh. of course you have to understand that as sports girls they'll set an expectation of themselves to win at sports what. because it's their niche. you don't see them bragging about studies?! and anyway it's even worse for non-sports to like brag about studies (niche point) and then complain when someone else is excelling in another area. it just comes out as them sounding jealous. it's really tiresome to explain it, and really annoying to be questioned about it. GIVE IT A REST!!!! i could say that ppl like china are soooo competitive in studies right, since she always brags about her "brain" (though non-existent) but i dont. so you shouldn't either. actually by their "sneering" at our competitiveness, they end up purposely not wanting to play well, lest they look too competitive. some of them end up like that, anyway. dumbies.
haha not gonna waste time nagging about pointless things anymore. so i had cramps halfway thru games carn and it was extremely annoying. was so irritated with myself and felt like fainting. had to leave early in the end. and get this. i slept from 2 to 5.30. in other words, i didn't eat anything since my kueh at 11am. that's like 6.5 hrs. craaaazy eh?>:)
well anyway good job to 3C, first again!(: and did i mention i went to GIANT the other day and there was this book sale and i bought 2 books????!! haha it's been quite some time since i've bought books so show some excitement for me.
i love it after examz. i am so free now and i have no hw and no tests to study for and no school until tuesday:D v. happy. despite my having a sunburn now. but whatever. last yr's sunburn was 10x worse. cause we played every lousy game until 2pm. now i only played until like 12? so not that bad.(: oops lunch calls!

BOOMZ!!!
EXAMZ ARE OVERRRZZXZX!!!
OMG i totally can't believe i survived 3 long tiring lousy weeks of mugging/comfort eating/not training!!! i am like so obese now, i must be fatter than jia en + LAUsy! haha. anyway, short recap of the odious 3 weeks.
1st week was omg draggy. languages, SS and emaths. chinese paper 1 was ..... can't even say it. anyway just felt like fainting after the first week and was already starting to count down the days.
2nd week passed faster cause i think due to the harder subs, we had to mug non-stop every night, trying to rush thru, so time passed. we had bio, chem, lit and hist. but since wk 2 was the killer wk, at the end of it, started to feel a bit more relaxed.
3rd week was OK, although amaths was like OMG and lit was rushed. you could tell that everyone wanted to scream when lit was over but we couldn't! cause elect. lit had it till 9.30 so we had to shut up and walk to the canteen): whatever. haha hardworking me dragged janice to THE GYM and we ran 3.2km while losers like leeyin bolted off for ice cream buffets. hope she's like 70kg now haha.
ohoh i rewatched twilight!!:D in prep. for new moon. haha no la just felt like. and i read the BFG, which is so gooood:D love it to bits. and then i went out yesterday(wed). was supposed to go with mart to get a gift for my mommy but here's how it turned out:
met mart at J8 first and she was whining from the start that she was sick. but the determined me insisted she could do it and we had lunch @ the food court. i totally finished my food but she left like half!!! she was behaving like a granny, holding a packet of tissue and leaning her head on my shoulder while walking. ...in the end i called chris and let her go. haha so we took the train to ion and shopped around. wanted to get this cool wonder woman shirt at pull and bear but decided against it): and guess what we saw yanlin, jeanette, sara LAUsy, manda and angie! ..okay anyway chris left at 3pm for synchro and so i carried on looking on my own...AND SAW THE BEST PLACE EVER. haha i stayed there for so long all the salesgirls were like talking to me! (sorry i can't mention the shop name cause i know leeyin wants to go there and get good stuff too, and i can't allow that!) haha anywayz their jeans were cool ttm and wanted to get one for my mom and one for me but i couldn't spend like $80 right?!?! so could only get one. which of course, being greedy, is mine. oh well. lol then i went into this bling shop and got this cool colourful beaded necklace (which was the last piece!). which is when yanlin and jeanette saw me and decided to tag along with me(: jeanette bought the butterfly necklace i initially thought of getting! haha then we went to the food place and yanlin got cheated of this cup of lime juice she bought which she said tasted so horrible yet "i still can't stop drinking it". that's what i call a good sales product ha!>:) it's gross but it still sells.
oh and did i mention that yanlin showed me this gross big, black owl of a necklace and was like, "you should totally buy this! then you'll own everyone who's wearing like butterflies la!" .........?!?! haha and she thinks I'M weird. anyway we finally finally got home and my legs were hurting like crazy and then i showed my mom my jeans and she said it's damn nice haha and i told her i wanted to get her one but too bad i couldn't and she was like whatever. nevermind la! haha she said that my getting new jeans=she can take over my old ones which she has been eyeing. OMG haha have you ever had sucha sneak of a mom?! :D
OK now i have to write these encouragement notes things which are like .... but anyway it's the hols so i'm just gonna try to be nice. after all, examz are over!! everything is so boomz! haha hey, that word is kool!:D ok imma go get whatever i need done then i'm gonna sit down with a good book and read the day away.

all i wanna say is that they don't really care about us
OMG i feel soooo annoyed/listless/lazy/irritated and everything else gross. like i know eoys are coming and everything but why is my class (+the rest of the cohort) so super on?? woah the rate they mug is like... i can't even say it. i'm lagging behind them soooo much. good news/consolation: had a bio mcq test today and despite my not studying bio yet, i got higher than those who did! haha okay la credit adeline for helping me la but how ironic! i got 20 and she got 18 haha made her super annoyed can(:
anyway you know what. i'm getting like sooo easily annoyed nowadays i seriously warn everyone to please talk to me carefully cause i don't wanna fight with you! but like some people really make your days turn down. after all, what i do doesn't concern you and i don't really need your SAME OLD opinions on a subject every other day right? like okay i wouldn't ask you if i didn't have to. like... why do they always make my life so hard?? i mean you're in school, you don't like to talk about these kinda depressing/annoying/irrelevant/stupid/won't benefit anyone kinda things. sigh. it gets tiring talking to them. and the more they push it, the more it's not gonna happen so i don't really see the point. just like how i dont really see the point in saying this here since i can't mention anything/anyone, which is why i'm gonna stop and move on the happier things.
colors award today was really hectic. got changed and ran to the bus (which was leaving). got nagged at in the bus by ___ then when we reached republic poly, registered then went to the loo to adjust everything haha. invest uniform is so layered and uncomfy!! anyway sat with the c-div kids (i.e the lower sec reps) who were quite cool in the end haha. received the c-div 4th for swim...it was quite freaky! cause we were like sooo unprepared and everything. then the lights were shining in my eyes on stage and then manda (she was the emcee like omg right i know) gave me her barbaric glare haha and i started laughing, then ms lim started laughing at me backstage and i obviously started shaking with laughter when i was still ONSTAGE. so like my catwalk was totally ruined! >:) the reception after that was good cause we had like food and i unknowingly bit into a cream puff which surprisingly turned out quite good cause it was cold and fluffy. haha in the end hitched a ride from andrea to J8. oh and i realise st nicks got colors for like 3 yrs already (since i was sec 1) but we never got the certs!! like where are they??! remind me to find out k!:D
oh yeah and we had a meeting today about OBS and LLS. signed up for OBS but i'm having second thoughts thanks to nerissa who so kindly shared with me that we have powder baths and like pee in the sea. WOW i really needed that): and that her sis woke up with a LIZARD in her HAIR. omg like no way am i going now! anw i got joey quite freaked out too so she also not keen already haha. LLS is like workshops but wtv, rather that than snakes and stuff right?!
kay just realised it's nearly midnight and i'm supposed to be snoozing so that i can wake up tmr to mug. unfortunately that plan's just been flung out the window. whatever the case, i would just like to let leeyininny to know that her grandmother ahma shoes gave me blisters and tore meggy's stockings and was just too ahma to talke about. haha.
OHOH and i bought new shoes! have i said that?? my mom kinda conned me into them haha!
